1 year before
- Arrange meeting with priest, minister, registrar to discuss wedding plan and set the date.
- Provisionally book the register or civil wedding venue.
- Set a budget and decide who is doing what.
- Bride needs to start thinking about the gown and which style suits you best.
- Select the members of the bridal party, best man, maid of honour, witnesses, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, flower girl and other honoured roles.
- Book the photographer and videographer.
- Visit venues where possible and ask for a detailed brochure.
- Discuss possible menus and when content, make a firm booking.
- Select the colour scheme for your wedding.
- Buy or hire your wedding gown, veil & accessories including bridesmaids and flower girls.
- Hire the grooms, best mans and other menís outfits.
- Have parents select attire.
- If you are holding an engagement party set the date and send invitations.

6 months before
- Complete guest list.
- Order drinks for the reception.
- Confirm hairdresser and make-up artist.
- Book flowers: the brideís bouquet, the bridal parties bouquets, flowers for your home, reception venue, etc.
- Book wedding cars.
- Decide on your wedding list if you are having one.
- Print the wedding invitations and thank you cards.
- Buy or make your wedding souvenirs.
- Plan your honeymoon and make necessary reservations. Do not forget any legality required, like visa and passports. If you are travelling outside - Europe check whether you need any inoculations.
- Have a medical and dental check-up.

3 months before
- Arrange a second meeting with the priest, minister, and registrar to discuss the service and agree a date for the publication of the banns.
- Select music for ceremony and reception.
- Prepare a song list if having a Disk Jockey to ensure you have the songs YOU want at your wedding.
- Order wedding cake
- Buy any special lingerie in time for fittings of the gown.
- Arrange a wedding dress fitting and plan your going away outfit if having one.
- Discuss hairstyles with your hairdresser.
- Book first night in a hotel and confirm details for honeymoon.
- Check passports!
- Send any invitations to any guests living abroad.
- Buy champagne glasses and have them engraved.
- Choose wedding rings and do the engraving.

2 months before
- Reconfirm all prior bookings & contracts.
- Request the publication of banns at the Marriage Registry and at the Curia.
- Send out thank you cards as gifts arrive.
- Buy the accessories from shoes to veil.
- Choose presents for attendants.
- Check menís fittings.

1 month before
- Write to banks and other official bodies if you are changing your surname.
- Contact your insurance agency about naming your partner as beneficiary on your life and car insurance.
- Confirm the final number of guests and finalise the menu with your caterer.
- Confirm seating plan if having a sit down meal.
- Buy any jewellery (earrings and necklace).
- Make sure that everybody involved knows his or her role.
- Discuss when to hold the hen and stag parties.
- Post the local invitations.

3 weeks before
- Discuss your choice of music with the musicians.
- Confirm address details and timings with the wedding car hire company.
- Shop for appetisers and drinks for guests visiting you in the next couple of weeks.
- Pack for honeymoon.
- Order foreign currency or travellers cheques.
- Collect honeymoon tickets and confirm you have all the necessary documents.

2 weeks before
- Organise the delivery of the drinks to the reception venue.
- Try on full wedding outfits.
- Collect all dresses.
- Do a hair and make-up trial.
- Collect marriage documents from the Marriage Registry.
- Buy the guest book and pen.

1 week before
- Ensure groom, father and best man are preparing their speeches.
- Confirm any remaining contracts.
- Leave a copy of your honeymoon itinerary with a relative in case of emergencies.

The day before
- Prepare all wedding outfits to avoid creases.
- Try to find a quiet moment to exchange gifts with your partner.
- Pack the requested items and hand over to Jacqui in case of emergencies.
- Confirm the delivery of drinks with venue handing list to Jacqui.
- Give the guest book and pen and any other items for the reception to Jacqui.
- Have a manicure.
- Run a bath with lavender, sipping a bottle of your favourite wine while you soak.
- Relax and have an early night.

Your Wedding Day
- Have a nice breakfast to start off the day.
- Do not let any body rush you while getting ready remember this is YOUR DAY so enjoy it!!!!
